Arts
and Culture
We work with artists,
cultural organisations and businesses
to create exciting media campaigns
that capture the imagination,
extend brands, reach new audiences
and win friends.
The expertise gained from over
30 years of working with business
and the arts ensures we understand
the challenges and opportunities
to develop creative partnerships.
The breadth of our media contacts
enables us to provide public
relations across the arts and
cultural industries including
theatre, dance, performers,
public art, art fairs, film
and publishing to name a few.
Our experience has touched almost
every major national artistic
institution in the UK as well
as several hundred regional
and fringe companies from Laban
in Lewisham to the Lowry in
Salford, the National Gallery,
British Museum, Tate Britain,
Royal Ballet, Welsh National
Opera, English Touring Theatre,
Nottingham Playhouse, Octagon
Theatre, Bolton and Théâtre
de Complicité.
Case Studies
Unicorn Theatre is the
first ever purpose-designed
theatre for children in the
UK. The £13.3m theatre
will play to over 100,000 children
each year and form a new national
cultural flagship, becoming
an international centre of excellence
when it opens in late 2005.
Unicorn appointed Kallaway for
public relations support to
help the theatre achieve its
funding targets, and raise awareness
of the benefits it will bring.
Linbury Biennial Prize for
Stage Design is the UK's
foremost award for emerging
theatre designers and has launched
the careers of many young designers
who have gone on to Tony and
Olivier award winning success.
The Linbury Trust turned to
Kallaway to run the competition,
handle all media and event management.
Trafalgar Square Fourth
Plinth Project The Fourth
Plinth Project is part of the
Mayor of London's strategy to
make our capital a world-class
cultural city. The Greater London
Authority came to Kallaway for
extensive communications support
for the artwork selection programme
and announcement of the winning
work.
Laban is one of the
world's leading dance and educational
institutions. Its new studios
in Deptford won the 2003 Stirling
Prize for Architecture. Kallaway
created and ran a three year
brand positioning and public
relations campaign enabling
the centre to open in 2003.
