Great Western Chorus
The multi award-winning Great Western Chorus of Bristol
(www.singbristol.com)
are certainly living up to their motto "FUN SINGINGWELL"
in 2006 ... It is delighted to be a BBC Radio 3 Choir
of the Year Adult Finalist and its members are looking
forward to "singing up a storm" in that Final.
Spokesman Martin Baglow says "The Chorus is buzzing
this year! We've already had two exceptionally good concerts
during a tour of South Cornwall and we've also achieved
a placing of 2nd at the prestigious International Eisteddfod
in Llangollen, North Wales.
Next year we're travelling to Northern Ireland to compete
and entertain at the world-renowned Coleraine Music Festival,and
after that, we will going "all out" to win the
British Chorus Championship for a record 7th time.
Our men, whose ages range from young (we have 6 in their
20s ) to 'young at heart', have a great time learning
and performing fantastically satisfying close harmony
arrangements of popular songs under top musical leadership
with 50 mates.
