Inverclyde Schools' Senior Choir
Conducted by Palma Allan, The Inverclyde Schools' Senior
Choir was formed in 2001 to allow progression from the
Junior Choir and currently contains founder members of
the Junior Choir as well as many new members. The age
range of this choir is 14 - 18 years and encompasses pupils
from all the secondary schools in the Inverclyde area.
Initially the choir met for just two weekends a year but
in 2003 moved to weekly rehearsals. This has enabled them
to study more difficult repertoire. They were named "Youth
Choir of the Day" in Edinburgh in 2004 but this is
the first time they have been successful in reaching the
Final of Choir of the Year and they are looking forward
to the challenge.
