Michael Morwood
Trained at the Royal College of Music, Michael has
been involved in London theatre for the last fifteen years.
He was Director of Music at The Academy Of Live And Recorded
Arts 1993-1997 and Deputy Head of Musical Theatre at Mountview
Academy of Theatre arts from 1997-2004. He was a BBC Audition
Adjudicator and Associate Chorus Master for the feature
film of "The Little Prince" as well as one of
the principal repetiteurs for "West Side Story"
in the Bregenz Festspiele 2004 in Austria.
Now resident in South Wales, Michael is a regular guest
tutor at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Gorseinon
College of Further Education and Trinity College, Carmarthen
and was part of the creative team opening the Welsh Millennium
Centre, Cardiff.
As well as extensive West End credits, more recently he
was Musical Director for "Cinderella" at the
New Theatre, Cardiff at Christmas and was Assistant Musical
Director for the BBC's "Voice Of Musical Theatre
in April 2005. This year Michael will be Musical Supervisor
of The Cardiff International Festival Of Musical Theatre
opening Gala Concert in October.
