Richard Sisson
Alongside a growing catalogue of concert works he has
composed much music for the theatre. He is currently musical
supervisor on Alan Bennett's The History Boys‚ and
has just finished work on the film version which will
be released later this year.
As a result of his association with the Choir of the Year
competition over the last ten years he has been commissioned
by two of the overall winners to write new choral works.
BirdSongs‚ for The Berkshire Youth Choir in 1996
and Turtles Cannot Sing and Yet They Love‚ for Choros
Amici in 2000.
He is the piano playing half of the cabaret double act
Kit and The Widow. This year they will be joining forces
once again with American comedienne Joan Rivers for a
tour of Australia and Canada. They recently finished presenting
a third series of their Saturday evening Radio 3 programme
Kit & The Widow - Cocktails.
