Sunday 21 May 2006, Cardiff
Thanks to more sporting fixtures Cardiff was completely packed all weekend - on Saturday we had to contend with jubilant Irish rugby fans celebrating their European Cup win and at the end of the day on Sunday we had to race to the station to try and get out of Cardiff before the Watford fans - only to find ourselves queuing with thousands and thousands of disappointed Leeds fans - not the quite the perfect ending to what was a fantastic weekend of singing!

Saturday 13 May 2006, Cardiff
We arrived in Cardiff on Saturday just as 70,000 football fans poured out of the Millennium Stadium following a thrilling FA Cup final! Sunday 9 April 2006, Basingstoke
Aaah, Basingstoke. Home of roundabouts and of course, The Anvil. One of the South West's finest venues plays host to the Philharmonia, the Solid Silver Sixties Show, An Evening with Joan Collins and on Sunday 9 April, Choir of the Year.

We had two new adjudicators for this audition day, Eugene Skeef and Stuart Barr. They weren't quite sure what they were letting themselves in for, but after some great singing they left the day firmly converted to Choir of the Year.
