Hiscox
Leading insurer Hiscox has a long established reputation for insuring, collecting
and commissioning contemporary art. Driven by Chairman Robert Hiscoxs own
passion for art, the company has its collection displayed throughout their
many offices worldwide and in London had a dedicated art gallery and sponsored many
high profile exhibitions.
Hiscox came to Kallaway wanting to maximise the potential of this activity and to
consolidate the disparate elements with one key message Hiscox is passionate and
knowledgeable about art, both as insurer and as collector.
As well as working on ensuring national and international coverage of Hiscox's exhibition
programme, Kallaway's public relations maximised the potential of the Serpentine Gallerys
exhibition of Damien Hirsts own collection, of which Hiscox was the major sponsor.
We secured interviews with Robert Hiscox on BBC 2s Working Lunch and
BBC Radio 4s business programme The Bottom Line
to discuss collecting art in the context of the Damien Hirst exhibition.
Exhibitions within Hiscoxs own gallery featured a wide range of artists from Stella
Vines controversial images of Kate Moss, which generated articles
across the world and was reviewed by Waldemar Janusczuk in the Sunday Times to an
exhibition of graduates from the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.
" The paintings in the flashy corporate foyer tackle an unlikely subject for an insurance HQ: they are ruminations on celebrity and the weird wounds it inflicts.
