
Bill Kallaway, Chairman
In 1972 Bill founded Kallaway to develop sponsorship between business and the arts. With over 30 years experience and three Hollis and 13 Arts & Business winners awards for its client campaigns, Kallaway is the UK’s leading cultural consultancy. Bill is responsible for some of the country’s most effective cultural sponsorships ranging from Whitbread Book of the Year and Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year through to Barclays New Futures which, at £10m, is the UK’s largest education sponsorship. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a founder member and subsequently Chairman of the European Sponsorship Consultants. Bill has also acted as a judge for both Hollis and PR Week Awards and in 2001 was awarded the Hollis Sponsorship Personality of the Year. Since 2003 he has been Chairman of the National Youth Theatre.
Peter Welch, Managing Director
As Managing Director since 2006 Peter has continued to develop Kallaway’s sponsorship offer and diversified the services to include Communications and Public Relations for leading cultural, lifestyle and travel clients. A graduate of Central St Martins, Peter has worked as an advisor on a variety of creative sponsorship and communications projects including; BBC Radio 3, Hiscox, UBS, Akram Khan Company, Colliers International, Crown Estate and LOCOG using his contacts across business and the arts to benefit of clients, arts organisations and funders. Peter is a former trustee of TheatreRites the award winning children’s theatre company and is currently a trustee of Dash Arts and an advisor to Pleasance Theatre Trust and Kinetica Museum.
Anna Burns, Development Director
Anna graduated in law and then spent three years working for Kyowa Saitama Bank in Tokyo before returning home to find her niche in the communications industry. She has worked across a range of disciplines including Brand development, PR and Sponsorship. Anna helps Kallaway establish successful working relationships with clients, and leads the planning process on projects to develop sponsorship campaigns that are well received by the media and the target audiences. Clients Anna has worked with include: Hiscox, Wellcome Trust, Rensburg Sheppards, UBS, Coutts and Museum of London.
William Kallaway, Director
William is a public relations professional with over 12 years experience across the cultural and business sectors ranging from running international campaigns for the Prix Pictet, the world’s first photography prize for sustainability chaired by Kofi Annan through to national consumer campaigns for the London 2012 Olympic games, major development programmes and landmark building launches such as the £30m Wellcome Collection from the Wellcome Trust. William develops social media campaigns for clients, advising government departments to individual artists.
