Designed by award-winning architects Feilden
Clegg Bradley, Quad is a new venue of local,
national and international significance.
It comprises of a large contemporary art
gallery, two cinema screens, a café
bar, workshop spaces, artists studios and
The Box, a multipurpose space with a varied
programme of live performances, seminars
and film screenings.
The centre opened with a major new installation
by Turner Prize-nominated artists Jane &
Louise Wilson, Spiteful of Dream.
It is the first venue outside London to
host a BFI 'mediatheque', a digital jukebox
giving users access to over 1000 films and
television programmes.
Highlights of Kallaway's campaign included
a two page feature on Spiteful of Dream
in Frieze with an in-depth interview
with artists Jane & Louise Wilson about
their working process, and 'Image of the
Week' in The Times Knowledge supplement.
Design Week profiled the new centre
with a focus on the experimental architecture
and innovative branding and design, while
a two page news article in Art World
provided a detailed overview of Quad
with comments from key spokespeople involved
in the project.
A broad range of coverage was secured, from
features in the Independent on Sunday
and The Guardian, to specialist titles
such as Film & Festivals and
Arts Professional.
