Regeneration
and environment
Urban regeneration
is about possibility and change.
The redesign and redevelopment
of disadvantaged neighbourhoods
brings investment and opportunity
to thousands of people. But
despite these benefits, the
prospect of such dramatic change
can be daunting for local people,
businesses and communities.
We help business and local authorities
such as The Crown Estate,
Waltham Forest, Lewisham
and Southwark to address
the challenges and issues that
urban regeneration can cause.
We help authorities and their
partners to collaborate with
stakeholders to create effective
outreach and communications
programmes that help turn plans
for regeneration into reality.
Case Studies
New Opportunities Walthamstow
(NOW) is a £56m single
regeneration budget scheme enhancing
lives and generating business
within communities across Walthamstow
and Leyton in London. The London
Borough of Waltham Forest has
tasked Kallaway with raising
awareness of the scheme locally
and across London.
Southwark Council The
£1.5bn regeneration of
the Elephant and Castle is one
of the largest redevelopment
schemes in UK. Southwark Council
appointed Kallaway to help win
support for the new programme
- winning 80 per cent approval
for the plans.
Laban is one of the world's
leading dance and educational
institutions. Its new studios
in Deptford won the 2003 Stirling
Prize for Architecture. Kallaway
created and ran a three year
brand positioning and public
relations campaign enabling
the centre to open in 2003.
Transco Grassroots: A
ten-year environmental project
that enabled Transco to engage
communities all over the UK
and enhance their local environments.
In 2000 Grassroots was in the
top five environmental schemes
operated by a company and delivered
over half the company's positive
media coverage.
