The power of place branding in the Covid economy

Roger Pride, the man who repositioned Salisbury after the Novichok attack and has developed brand strategies for some of the UK’s most successful cities including Belfast, Birmingham and Cardiff will explain why it has never been more important for destinations to have a clear point of difference. Roger, Managing Partner at place brand specialists Heavenly, will set out the considerations for putting in place a compelling place proposition that inspires those businesses and people already in place and attracts those you seek.  

China consumer insights: Advice for UK brands and destinations

As the world’s second largest economy continues to recover, the ways of selling to the Chinese consumer have changed - as have their expectations from brands. Vanessa Wu, European Director of China based specialist digital marketing consultancy Gusto Luxe will overview the key trends and what UK consumer brands and destinations should do to keep top of mind with Chinese consumers now and into the future.  She will shed light on a complex picture of both buoyant recovery, how Chinese consumers are buying and their travel and tourism intentions. Vanessa is a hospitality, luxury and retail brand expert. She advises brands such as Swire Hotels, Harrods, Tourism Australia and Sotheby’s and on how to engage and sell to the Chinese consumer.
