Kallaway successfully positioned Jeff Wayne’s: The War of the Worlds the Immersive Experience as the ‘must visit’ VR attraction of 2019, giving press and influencers exclusive access to the latest incarnation of this 121 year old iconic story before the official opening.

In 1898, H.G.Wells’s The War of the Worlds sparked horror as readers lapped up this story of a martian invasion. Jeff Wayne recreated the sci-fi thriller as a modern rock opera for 1970’s audiences. And now today’s audiences can rediscover the story and take on the martians themselves through the latest digital technology.

A never seen before blend of immersive theatre, VR and holograms has created an interactive multi-sensory adventure taking visitors from Horsell Common in Surrey to Mars.

We engaged contemporary audiences with our wide-ranging media outreach strategy, delivering over 250 pieces of coverage, from BBC World Service to The Times, Time Out and niche VR and steampunk titles.

Post-opening, our influencer event to officially launch the attractions restaurant and bar The Spirit of Man drove significant coverage from the 10 influencer attendees on the night, from influencers such as exploringlondon [58.3K followers], shotsdr [20.8K followers] and rachelfullerphotos [14K followers].

Due to exceptional demand, the attraction has extended its run and tickets are now on sales until November 2019. Are you brave enough to come face to face with the martian invasion?
